Jermaine Jacksons Solo Albums

anyone else into Jermaine's solo work?

he got some good stuff on there,

bought the greatest hits,

some top shit like Dynamite on there, great 80s beats,

dont get personal too, thats a top track,

seems like MJ took all the fame and the sales!

and left poor Jermaine behind!

anyone else seen this pic of Jermaine and his son! Cute kid or what!
found it on the web!

I always thought Jermaine was a good song writer(although I never liked 'Dynamite" either, biggrin ). IMO, his best album may have been 1982's "Let Me Tickle Your Fancy"(his last for Motown), which had some kool tunes on it, but just a few months after it's release, Michael's "Thriller" came out, and, Jermaine's album was quickly forgotten...

the title cut was probably the closest to new wave,-- it was really mix of mostly classic R&B/soul, along with a couple of 80's new wave-meets-funk tunes...I'm suprised that it was never issued on CD...not even as an import, (as far as I know --has anyone else seen it on CD?)...

dent

Did Jermaine play the bass on "Let's Get Serious" cuz that is some serious funk right there (produced, written and most of the instruments by Stevie no less).

As far as I know he did play the bass, but even if he did not do it on the record he sure can do it live since I've seen him do that on the Victory tour

I Love that tune! Jermaine's Castle of Sand is a classic Quiet Storm track....from his "Frontiers" album (1978)....
