Z Cult Favorite/Bowie-Stay No doubt that Nile and Bernard of Chic dug Bowie. Especially Bowie's cut "Stay" from "Station to Station". Man, this song is coldblooded. Period. The interplay between the guitar, bass and drums towards the end is SICK. They went buck wild and yet, managed to stay in the pocket. Anyone who ever said Bowie wasn't funky,...I don't know what they need to do. This should have been a huge hit for Bowie. Who else digs this song? SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Gangsta said "Utterly"! Yes, I agree. Hey, PLEASE don't get me started on the intro to "Station To Station". That riff is so banging, Bowie needed his ass kicked! I mean that as a compliment. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

God do I love the guitar in this song!
This week dragged past me so slowly The days fell on their knees Maybe I'll take something to help me Hope someone takes after me I guess there's always some change in the weather This time I know we could get it together If I did casually mention tonight That would be crazy tonight The coked-up, keeping his pee in a refrigerator, numerology obsessed Thin White Duke Bowie of 1976 will always be my favorite. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

One of Bowie's best. every time i listen to this song, i think that nobody in the world could possible love and appreciate and feel so totally owned by this song as me. i know better, but that's just the kind of spell i go under whenever i hear it.

I relate to that Anx. Bowie was/is one of those "special" artists that has the knack for totally personalizing his material. So it draws u in and gives u the feeling that ONLY u can truly relate to what he's doing. A band like E,W & F is just the opposite. They have that universal love thing going for them, so the whole world is singing along right along with them. That's cool and just as valid as well. But, on a personal level, Bowie has always had that cult thing going with his fans, and that's the reason why; his material hits u on a more personal thing.
