I like her. She's made some edgy choices but I like her alot. Everyone is not going to be pristine especially in their early 20s. I also like the lower profile she's kept between albums. When is the next one due?

I use to like when she first hit the music scene in 2000 or 2001. Im not really into her now. What kills me on the Music awards in 2004 when she made that comment about Janet Jackson when she was dressed rather revealing her self.

I go back and 4th with Christina. There's no arguing that she's xtraordinarily talented. When her vocals r kept in check, she's brilliant. But sometimes in her live performances it's "Leave no Star Search note behind!". That can get really annoying. The only other issue I've ever had with her is that 4 the 1st few years of her career, she was so consumed with her image. She fancied herself a far more relvant and controversial artist than she actually was or is. As a wise Rolling Stone reader observed after that cover she did where she mistook a big blue guitar 4 a feminine hygine product, "Christina, your individuality does not come from how many piercings you have in your naughty bits, but from that incredible voice". I agree with him. Love her music, though.

I still think 'Genie in a bottle' is her best song.

The bolded statement is a major reason why I don't like her as much as I want to. She has a dynamic voice and hearing her, while she was promoting "Stripped", talk about how fake the image was on her 1st CD was and how she was trying to push the envelope just made me so mad. All it did was make her look fake. And then she wants to get naked on her videos, that annoyed the shit outta me cause it was so stupid and pointless. She seems to have more clothes on lately and now that she's married, I hope that she can be sexy without being slutty and show the world how talented she is with her voice.
