Who likes Carly Simon? (+ christmas treat...) Carly have recorded a beautiful version of "let it snow" for the hurricane relief, you can listen to it here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/15902411/ref=amb_center-1_133151901_1cs/103-2137658-9501442
Carly Simon has one of the most unique voices I`ve heard. "Nobody does it better" is the best Bond song ever, and perhaps my favorite song by Carly Simon too, although "coming around again" and " you belong to me" are very special too, and who could forget "you`re so vain" 
Although Linda Ronstadt and Rod Stewart did good jobs with the old classics, Carly`s standards albums is still my favorites. If anyone knows her 70s albums, please tell me your thoughts about them. What`s your favorite songs by Carly Simon?  [Edited 12/9/05 5:33am] | |

When I was growing up, my parents were constantly playing the No Secrets and Coming Around Again albums. Not a huge fan of Carly, but these CDs really take me back to being young.
Do really love "Coming Around Again" and "All I Want is You", though. I'm the first mammal to wear pants. | |

Do really love "Coming Around Again" and "All I Want is You", though. Coming around again is a great song, and a great album. She sings "As time goes by" on it, and sing it well, i must say...

Her music is so special, i could listen to her for hours  I sometimes listen to the "my romance" album when i go to bed, the volume really low, so i have to concentrate to hear the lyrics. That always helps if i can`t sleep

I bought her "Anthology" and really dug it (especially the rare dance track with Chic, "Why"). Listened to it for 2 months non-stop. It helped me while I was working on lots of projects for school. Awesome voice and fine songwriting. | |
