What popular musicians have under gone spiritual rebirths ...?

That changed their musical direction?

Prince and whom else comes to mind?

John Coltrane
Cat Stevens
John McLaughlin
Al Green
Santana
Madonna
Bob Dylan
Pete Townsend
Peter Green

In each case as far as changing their music each artist I listed is different.

It would have been interesting to see where John Coltrane was headed.

I understand what you are saying. Some artists tried to put to it more into their music. Lately Madonna has been making a lot of statements in the media about her beliefs. That's why I mentioned her.

Somebody would've mentioned her so...

Hey, I didn't mention the Ray Of Light period. I didn't mention her ass being out in the "Hung Up' video. She uh, has uh, ummm that rebirth thing too.

Yeah, let's just say that. Yeah let's try to imagine what silence looks like.

Buju Banton. When he became a Rasta and started making conscious/spiritual music, his music got drastically better.

I would say Tori Amos to some extent between her failed first album and Little Earthquakes. She's remained true to herself ever since.
