Too superficial comment .
Before , during and after this track , Tom Browne layed some heavy vibes on record which even don't come CLOSE to Kenny G's style .
Check his Browne Sugar album ( 1979 ) ... the opening track is already mindblowing , with other tracks going in the direction of hard-bop jazz .

AWYEAH !
That New York-vibe was TIGHT !

A few musicians on Tom's albums released great albums themselves
on GRP-Records from Dave Grusin & Larry Rosen .

That was a great jam too , Angela . And later sampled by LL Cool J .
The track appeared on his " Mr.Wright "-album on EMI-Manhattan ( 1985 )
The album above ( Nard ) is from 1981 .

Don Blackman's album was from 1982 ... the original pressing has become a big collector's item ...
Don is a hero in the UK ... that album was ahead of it's time .

Bobby Broom is still active as jazz-guitarist . Clean Sweep was from 1981 too .

Thanks for the info on the albums. I had the one with LL cool J and Total version of the Who do you love song. I remember Bernard Wright performing that song on Soul Train. I liked Bernard version the best.

Mike sang fantastic on the classic Norman Connors track " You Are My Starship "
This fella was very talented . Played bass with Miles Davis in the 70's .
And another classic track is his duet with Roberta Flack : " At The Concert "

You're welcome bro thumbs up!

Here's the classic sleeve of the " Jamaican Funk "-album .
The Japs did some great re-issue work again . That back-cover looks sharp .

" Funkin' For Jamaica " was an ode to the NewYork neigbourhood : Jamaica Queens . Many talented cats came from that area .
