You're kidding, right?

Ever hear of a place called Max's Kansas City, or maybe a quaint little bungalow called CBGBs?

If Michael Jackson is considered rock'n'roll, Debbie Harry sure as hell is.

I think a better question is why is Blondie in so fast. Donna Summer, who inspired Debbie, will never make it in there. For shame!

i think if the dells or the jackson 5 can get in the RNRHOF, so should donna summer. i do think, however, that it's going to take a while before "the queen of disco" will be accepted with open arms into the rock hall of fame. believe it or not, there are still people who are a bit fussy about the whole "disco sucks" thing. rolleyes

on the other hand, blondie dipped their toes into a lot of styles - new wave, punk, rock, pop, swing, country, and yes, disco. debbie harry is an icon of the '80s - singer, songwriter, sex symbol, performer, actress, etc. - and she managed to stay edgy and hip through everything they did.
