Let me ask you somethin´... What time of the day do you like to make love Have you ever made love just before breakfast Have you ever made love while you watched the late, late show ...possibly to who may have been his wife at the time, Candi Staton. tA I KNOW, tA! I saw Clarence Carter two summers ago at an outdoor festival that was supposed to be a family thang and there he was singing "Strokin' " like he was in the club! I have a blind friend who always talks like he can see (referring to the late, late show), but it's still something vaguely discomforting to see CC up there singing this one! He really IS a dirty old man!! (Isn't Candi Staton singing gospel now? After being married to CC for so long....) Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

Yes, I know. I'm confused. Are we still talking about you/me or are we talking about me/me now? To make it more confusing, I am not talking about you/you or me/you. I am talking about me/me. I am unstopable, I am afraid. I'l revert to plain old me/you after this commercial... The Gangstafam Bars Are On Me! The Gangstafam That Likes To Say Yes.

That one's pretty sweet. It's got a good amount of soul to it. I was surprised to see that one on the list. and also "I Wear My Sunglasses at Night" by Corey Hart. Prince says my name in one of his songs. In Little Red Corvette, he says, "Liz is on the verge of being obscene" Ha, ha, just kidding. But seriously.

American Pie (Don McLean)
Free Bird (Lynnard Skynnard) (although I proudly do not own either of these on cd, cassette or vinyl) The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

"Strokin'" holds a lot of memories for me. In my last year of college, which was, well, this year, I went to the karaoke bar every weekend. One of my classmates would sing "Strokin'" - a theatre major, so he knew how to work a crowd - and I was one of his backup dancer hos. I didn't look like a ho, but I was drunk like one, so think what you will.
