The "Lifted" Cut Of The Day: Odyssey, "Inside Out" this joint's entire hook and bassline is totally lifted from slave's "watching you"...nonetheless, it's still a fun song to listen to. "inside out" came out about a year after "watching you" ("wy" came out in '80 on the stone jam album), so this explains it all.
testify, if you know this one!

I agreed the hook exactly was from Slave "watching you". when I heard those songs on radio, I have to stop for a minute to see which one the DJ was playing-Slave or Odyssey?
But still i like that song.

Great song. I thought I was the only one that knew about that one. Definately similar to "Watching You". Andy is a four letter word.

It's the same music. Steve Arrington produced it and I believe that it's Steve or Mark Adams playing bass on Inside Out.

Great song. I never paid any attention to the sameness of "Inside Out" and "Watching You"...but damn, now it's so obvious.
like the words here in this song we'll go on and on an on... [Edited 11/26/05 17:01pm]

Odyssey is a very underrated group.I have a Greatest Hits CD by them, and they have many, many kickass jams.Everyone remembers "Native New Yorker" and "Inside Out" (their two biggest hits),but I also like "Together" and their version of "Don't Tell Me,Tell Her".
