so recently i've been getting into billie holiday..i have to say her voice is haunting..not becuase she tries to be..its of the simplicity of the sorrow in her voice..question being now..whats the saddest song by this singer?..i've listen to most..but i want to find a heart-breaking song..sounds kinda lame no?

But aside from "Gloomy Sunday"/"Strange Fruit". The SADDEST song she did IMHO is her own personal fave "Deep Song":

"Good Morning Heartache" is really sad to me. Not that the lyrics are especially sad, but there's just something heartbreaking about the way she's accepting, almost embracing, that heartache is just going to be her constant companion.

...and her version of "I Loves You Porgy" is absolutely devastating.
