My mother had the 45 of this song.I loved it.For some reason,I really, really LOVE those schmaltzy soft rock songs of the 70s.These songs are soothing and beautifully arranged. "Feelings" by Albert Morris (1975) "Could It Be Magic" by Barry Manilow (1974) "Have You Never Been Mellow" by Olivia Newton John (1973?) "The Goodbye Girl" by David Gates (1977) "Bluer Than Blue" by Michael Johnson (1978) I can sit and listen to that stuff for hours.I'm crazy, huh?

Longer Than...It's definately a 70's style song, but I like the fact that he can express his love for her without telling her to bend over and shake her ass.

Supertramp - Goodbye Stranger
I recently called the local '80s station and asked that they stop playing this song. Not only is it godawful, it's not even an '80s song.

I really meant to put this here:
From RHINO... ...70s Party Killers You're at home and your rager party is spiraling out of control before your very eyes. It's 3 a.m. and a strange cast of characters occupies your living room. You think to yourself, "Who are these people and how did they end up breakdancing on my coffee table?" It's way past your bedtime, and you gotta break this sucker up FAST. You grab that new Rhino CD off your shelf, and voila -- problem solved. '70s Party Killers, our new collection of the all-time "classic" pop singles that inexplicably were huge Top 5 hits. Eight of them got to #1! These cheesy standards by the Superstars of Schlock are guaranteed to clear the room in a hurry. I kinda like this song, but only the verse. The chorus is annoying as hell. If i'd been playing in a cover band out here i'd probably be right with you. My cover band days were in the South which made the Lynryd Skynyrd thing even more annoying. Did a lot of Super-Frat parties at major universities around the southeast. These knuckleheads must have had a pipeline constructed straight from the nearest Budweiser brewery. And of course they always want to turn your amp into their personal beer can/cup/keg stand. The Things We Do For Love pissed me off because I felt like i'd been a victim of a bait and switch scam after I'm Not In Love. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
