November 21st 2005 - Richard Ashcroft returns Follow-up to Richard Ashcroft gears it up November 21st 2005 - BBC Radio 1 at 7ish PM: 'This is Radio 1... ... that you already knew. Maybe what you didn't know, is that this point in the show - monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday, song number 5 - we bring you one, more than any other, that's hotter than any other.... ... the hottest record in the world today is the return of Richard Ashcroft, Break the night with colour...' Premiering a song on the radio sure beats leaking it on the net. Parlophone releases 'Keys to the world' on January 23rd 2006. UK dates announced. Hmmm....thanks for the song. Still doesn't live up to anything on his solo debut record though. A lot of pain on that record. His second album sounds like this one, painless and sort of bland.

According to Richard, Keys to the world will have a raw edge, while he's very comfortable with his songwriting
at this moment. The album is going to be 'shit-hot', he stated. Bring it on! I like the song, though. Having a ballad as the first single is a sign of confidence?
