Remember Whitney Houston?

well, does anyone remember her music career?? lol

despite whatever she's going through at the moment, she had some good music, and some not so good. so what are your favourite albums/songs by Whitney? and are you optimistic about a comeback; or is she pretty much over? whistling

my favourite albums:

my love is your love
i'm your baby tonight
love, whitney
(collection)

disbelief what a shame

Always the best ballad diva, she was the SHIT in her day...better than Mariah, Celine, Babs, etc...

Best songs IMHO:

I'm Your Baby Tonight
Queen of the Night
How Will I Know
I Have Nothing
Not Right But It's OK (Thunderpuss)
I Learned From the Best
All the man I need
Step By Step (only bc Annie Lennox wrote that shit)
You Give Good Love
Saving All my Love
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

True. She was really something back then. But she brought it on herself. Drugs, alcohol, Bobby...

Fav albums: everything up till My Love is Your Love (I hated that album with passion); but I guess my all time fav would be her debut album.

Fav song: Saving All My Love, I Have Nothing, You Give Good Love
I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

Favorite songs:
*Jesus love me
*Where do broken hearts go
*Do you hear what i hear
*Silent night/deck the halls
*I was made to love him
*Queen of the night
*Exhale
*Saving all my love for you
*Greatest love of all
*Higher love
*One moment in time (Sammy Davis Jr. loved this song)

Favorite albums:
*Whitney Houston
*Whitney
*The bodyguard soundtrack
*The preacher`s wife soundtrack

Favorite moments:
*"Home" from the 1994 south-Africa concert

*"Star spangled banner" from superbowl 25

*"Saving all my love" from the 1986 grammy awards. I think she was only 19 at the time.

*"I will always love you" from the 1994 world music awards (better than the studio version)

*"One oment in time" from the 1989 grammy awards. You can easily hear why she is/was called "the voice"

*NOTHING can compare to her appearance on the 1994 American music awards, when she sang "And i am telling you" as part of a medley. She looked phenomenal, her moves were better than ever, and she could almost outsing Jennifer Holliday.

*Her whole "Classic Whitney" concert from 1997 was amazing, she sang "the boss", and Bobby accompanied her on "Mr.BoJangles"

I still love Whitney nod ...she may be going through some tough times but I'll always remember her amazing music

my fave Whitney songs would have to be from the "Waiting to Exhale" soundtrack and also "Bodyguard" soundtracks... Queen of the Night, I will always love you (I know people put shit on it but it's still one of my fave songs ever) and pretty much all the songs on the waiting to exhale soundtrack ROCK

Funny, I happened to catch The Bodyguard on cable today, and I was thinking about how she just dominated everything in music during that era.

I've watched this performance over and over, she just about blows the roof off the building on a couple of notes!! She was incredible live in her prime.

I think she has done some things to make people dislike her, like the horrible Wendy Williams radio-interview. and her "crack is wack" comment on the Diane Sawyer interview. I don`t know if i would have wanted to meet her if i had the chance, cause i think she has forgotten, or don`t care about the people who buys her records, goes to her concerts. It`s sad to see what she has become, however, i believe she CAN change her life.
Her voice is not the same as it was, and she can`t even get the lyrics right in the studio ("the christmas song" on one wish). it seems like she doesn`t care anymore. By the way, she should have made the christmas album 10 years earlier, anyone remember her singing some lines from "the little drummer boy" on saturday night live in the mid-90s?

ooh, this picture reminded me of this song, that I actually like despite of Enrique whose whining singing I can´t stand. His voice sounds ridiculous to hers.

BTW My favourite album is I´m your baby tonight. All the man that I need is such a BEAUTIFUL song!!

nic jacket,Mike. Wear that more often. wink
