THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE... Today marks the 14th anniversary of the day we lost the amazing Freddie Mercury... There can be only one ~ we love you Freddie An angel reaching for the sky Is it raining in heaven - Do you want us to cry? And everywhere the broken-hearted On every lonely avenue No-one could reach them No-one but you One by one Only the Good die young They're only flying too close to the sun And life goes on - Without you... Another Tricky Situation I get the drownin' in the Blues And I find myself thinkin' Well - what would you do? Yes! - it was such an operation Forever paying every due Hell, you made a sensation You found a way through - and One by one Only the Good die young They're only flyin' too close to the sun We'll remember - Forever... And now the party must be over I guess we'll never understand The sense of your leaving Was in the way it was planned? And so we grace another table And raise our glasses one more time There's a face at the window And I ain't never, never sayin' goodbye... One by one Only the Good die young They're only flyin' too close to the sun Cryin' for nothing Cryin' for no-one No-one but you

I wish I was old enough to have known more about Freddie before he died; maybe gone to a show or two. I might've missed you in this life, Freddie, but through your music I almost feel I know you. Hope you're at peace. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

No... Brian and Roger lost my respect with that along with John the ex-bass player who I applaud for having the guts to remember that Queen ceased to be when Freddie passed on. Freddie would have HATED it all

I miss him. It would have been nice to know him though. I really don't think Freddie is upset about it. I really want to see John except for the stripper club pics. Yep, Freddie was awesome and amazing. His voice sends shivers down your spine. [Edited 11/24/05 5:05am]

[Edited 11/24/05 5:05am] What's that? I saw a pic of him at a club with a strippers booty in his face and he's laying back smiling.

they're part of queen to, what do you mean by milking? When Freddie passed on they both vowed not to ever tour again with the name Queen because it would be dishonouring Freddie's name... 14 years later they've gone back on that that's what he's getting at ...many of us fans feel the same way I refused to go and see the tour earlier this year on principal alone

I went to Garden Lodge last night... there were a fair few people there and lots of beautiful flowers and candles
at 7pm there was 2 minutes silence in honour of Freddie it was eerie being outside his home knowing this is where some of his most cherished moments and life had taken place...but at the same time very very aware that he was no longer there. An awareness not only of the talent and pure superstar that he was and is but also that he had been flesh and blood - a man who lived and died among those he loved Mary (his best friend who he left the house to) didn't come out - she used to years ago but doesn't now until the next day. Apparently she'll come out today to pick up all our flowers etc that have been left there can be only one... we miss you Freddie
