I came across a song last night which I am quite familiar with, but hadn’t heard for a long long time. However, the song (an mp3) stated it was by George Clinton. White Horse – George Clinton.mp3. Ive done some looking on the net and found no such info that GC covered this tune so im a little confused.

My question is, did GC do a cover? Or is the original Laid Back version the only one around? It’s a seriously funky track!

Also, are any of Laid Back’s other tunes any good? How is the album “Keep Smiling”?

Any recommendations of other artists with this vein of music worth looking into?

looks like it was misnamed...george clinton never did a cover of "white horse", far as i know. a lotta songs on p2p sites are misnamed/misspelled...

that song kicks ass and i wish I could find their cd somewhere. I would love to hear the rest of their stuff.

On a lot of these download sites, the people that are sharing the files are the ones typing in the names. Back when I used to go to Napster, I used to get a big laugh at some of the song titles.....
