Thanks. I had their stuff on cassete. I got to pick up their C.Ds. There are three greatest hits CDs that cover a lot of their material: The Best Of The Barkays: This has some of their stuff when they were on the Stax label, including the long version of "Holy Ghost". The Best Of The Barkays (Volume 1 and Volume 2) (Funk Essentials): This is two volumes of their stuff after they went to Mercury Records in the mid 1970s through the 1980s) If you have a turntable, you should pick up some of their albums. There are a lot of jams out there like "Body Fever" and "Traffic Jammer" that are not available on CD. Some great Barkays albums are: Too Hot To Stop As One Night Cruising Propositions Dangerous Banging The Walls Andy is a four letter word. | |
