That's a tough one. Iggy's exploits are well documented while Lux seems to fly under the radar. Has Lux ever cut himself with a broken bottle onstage?

the only time i saw the cramps live, lux tried to throw his mic in the air and catch it in his mouth, but wound up catching it with the side of his head, resulting in a big bloody gash. he just kept on singing, dressed in nothing but a vinyl g-string, black stiletto heels and a head wound. THAT is bad-ass.

I don't know the answer. iggy was pretty stylin' himself around the late '70s. lux and the cramps played a concert in a mental institution and let the patients come on stage and sing with them. iggy OD-ed in the middle of a performance at CBGBs. it's a toss up as far as i'm concerned.

yeah, but who matched rockabilly with punk before the cramps came along? That's right, there's a whole genre now called psychobilly because of the Cramps.

yeah, but who matched rockabilly with punk before the cramps came along? I'll give you that and I love The Cramps but Iggy with the Stooges, Iggy in the 70's with Bowie and IGGY, IGGY, IGGY. Night after night touring the country cutting himself up and doing the most sickest things over and over. Punk Rock = Iggy

Iggy. No contest. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Anybody can be born with low body-fat and cop a tough-guy attitude, but it takes a man to wear a pair of pumps while fronting a rock 'n' roll band.

I find Iggy Pop incredibly boring (and there is a fucking nasty vibe at his shows).
The Cramps on the other hand are fun and sexy. They brought fetish to rock 'n' roll.

The Cramps on the other hand are fun and sexy. They brought fetish to rock 'n' roll. when i lived in new york, i worked at a job where i met the lady who designs ivy's stage costumes. she was COLORFUL to say the least, and i wish i could remember her name but it began with "Baroness". I complimented her outfit - it was a skin-tight black rubber dress with lace-up slits all over the place - and she was very sweet - she told me she was a designer and that she did outfits for poison ivy...the first word out of my mouth (what a dork i am) was "FABULOUS!" and she said, without a beat, "well, the cramps are FABULOUS people, aren't they?" it was a moment. hadda be there.

I mean, top that, motherfuckers!
