Yo, do you have Bernadette's solo joint?: Drama According to Bernadette"? It's pretty damn good.

I don't have that one. It didn't get any airplay in my area so I didn't know it existed until years later when it was out of print.

Hmm? If I recall they dropped before MJG...Hmmm?

That's because Prince beat Rick to the punch. Vanity went to an awards show with Rick and left with Prince. Apparently, she must have been running her mouth. lol

I've only heard one of their songs. The one that's on the latest CD "Rick James and Friends". The Time was funky. That song was kind of like Doo Wap. I haven't heard any of their other stuff though.

Mary J Blige = Stpanie Mills

Chris Brown = Usher Clone (who want to copy Usher anyway.)

Crucial Conflict = Bone-Thugz-N-Harmony

Also, would you say the Sylvers are J5 clobnes or had their own style.

Uh, DU was NOTHING like De La, chief. Trust me on that. DU had their own vibe going and was nothing remotely close to De La's steelo.

I've never seen them but I wouldn't doubt it. Rick was talking about them having a retro processed hair look. Maybe that decision came because Prince and his crew was sporting that look at the time. Rick, himself, started looking like Prince in those days. lol

I read in warr.org that Billy Joel is "a third rate Paul McCartney".

(For those who knows hispanic music, I do believe Franco DeVita is a fourth grade Billy Joel.)

Back in the 90s I used to think Mariah Carey was a clon of Whitney Houston. But now I am not sure about it.

The Monkees definitly are clones of The Beatles.

Steven Taylor used to act as a less talented Mick Jagger.
