REMEMBERING JEFF BUCKLEY

He would have been 39 years old today. I thought I'd make a thread for any other fans of his here who would like to remember him.

God Bless you sweet spirit. Thank you for your life and music and all the ways you have touched so many.

A genius. We were talkin about him on the radio Tuesday night, about how God accidentally put too much "Awesome" in the Jeff Buckley mold and thus shortened his shelf life like he did Jimi Hendrix, James Dean, Jim Morrison, Jim Belushi, Janis Joplin. Hmmm. Is anybody noticing a trend with J names? Anyway, Last Goodbye and Grace are some of the greatest sounds ever committed to record.

He was a soulful artist who made beautiful music. He has written some of the most memorable songs of his (or any era).

"Everybody Here Wants You" is simply one of the greatest love songs ever made.

Rest in peace, brother Jeff.

** a little trivia wink

jeff auditioned for wendy and lisa's touring band in 1990 along with his friend carla azar. they met through chris dowd, of fishbone, who was jeff's roommate at the time.
