U2 Vertigo dvd-thoughts?

I was hoping Edge would turn it up loud and use his guitar for Origin Of The Species. Have they moved to using that instead of full piano use later in the tour?

It is interesting how they have semi re-worked some songs with different sound and arrangements (The Fly is more sharp than ever, One is now more power with electric guitar to the fore).

One thing: Bono please retire the leather jacket. He looks disheveled in it all th e time.

I loved it too. I saw both San Jose shows and though I prefer when they open with Love And Peace Or Else, this DVD captures the feel and mood of the show. They are simply a top-notch act. And I love their rapport.

Now if I could only figure out what song came on over the loudspeakers once "40" wrapped and the houselights turned on. It was a U2 song, slow to mid-tempo with a constant, steady beat in the background. It's been haunting me since the San Jose shows, and those were in April! I NEED THAT SONG!!!!

Still need to pick it up. Does it look like the "City of Blinding Lights" video?

Yes. That's where they got the video from, a live show.

I know. But I love the way that was shot and edited. I just wondered if the DVD is as stark and clear and dynamic looking as that.

Be careful when you do. There are two versions out there. A single dvd disc version and a deluxe 2 cd set with th e extra dvd being a documentary of the tour and other extras. I got the deluxe for single price because the clerks at best Buy didn't know better lol. Neither did I. I said "this is on sale for 12.99 it says here in the ad, not 22.99"

I later went back and saw the sngle disc that was oroginally 12.99 I had no idea there were 2 options/2 releases.
