Stephin's songs are copyrighted under "Gay & Loud, Inc.", and he was going to perform as part of the queer version of Lollapalooza that the Pet Shop Boys were trying to put together, but never happened.

This record is gay gaY gAY GAY!! he has one lyric on the album where's he's saying "When i put your cock on my lips" or something to that effect. from what i can remember, most of the album is dealing with relationships. it's a great album, but i always have trouble with the lyrics in that song. i'm not homophobic or nothing like that, i'm just not use to that kind of stuff! That album freaks me out!

I don't really count them. Most of their music is pretty crap. Gender-specific as all hell though. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

The only example I can think of is manufactured pop, I remember hearing one of Will Young's songs on the radio and he kept saying girl, I just thought, God, have some spine, dont sell your soul for a record deal!
Boybands do it all the time too. Its such a crock. Boybands are in a weird situation. They're encouraged to behave in a homoerotic manner towards each other (hugging, kissing, and other not-normal-for-any-guy touchy-feeliness) because they're equally marketed to gay men as they are young girls, but if any member of a boyband were to actually come out, they and their bandmates could kiss their career goodbye! That said, a certain fave boyband of mine doesn't seem to fucking care anymore if people think they're shagging each other. You should've seen the two youngest attempting to undress each other at the last show I was at. Gods, it was beautiful. [Edited 11/17/05 23:46pm] "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

The Bee Gees purposely did the same with How Deep Is Your Love.

it makes sense for pop songwriters to create gender-neutral songs. more people can relate to them, and perhaps even more importantly, more people can COVER the songs.

With a anti gay "yes iam straight and macho" image Then came take that, the UK's answer to NKOTB. Difference was, they were very british. They couldn't care less who they appealed to. On stage, they were like the chippendales. Very gay, and one member now talks very gay. Take that were very homoerotic, look at the "pray" video.
"pray" is a pop song that george michael just could not write post faith era as he's a self obsessed twat.

You all probably don't know my but I'm in love with Freddie Mercury. And as far as a gender specific gay son Freddie was a bout it as motherfucker and kept it 100 % on his song on his solo album "your kind of lover" Write ot down, download it, "Your kind of lover" download it, I'm sure you'll love it. As far as I can gather it's about trying to get a dude in bed and doing whatever sexualkly necessary whjether it's top or bottom. I could be wrong lol:
Now you say you're leaving me, I just can't believe it's true You're my kind of lover Wanna little bit of feeling, add a little bit of meaning to my life I wanna little bit of feeling, a little bit of sunshine to my life I wanna be your kind of lover Give a little bit of feeling, just a little bit of feeling Add a little bit of meaning to my life I wanna boogie down with you, brother Boogie down with bassman, win love on the grandslam I'll be there waiting when you call Just step right into my heart Come a little closer, don't tell me that it's over Make a brand new start We can work it out just next to nothing (your kind of lover) Work it out, work it out just next to nothing With feeling, feeling, feeling, with feeling We can work it out, let me show what I can do I can be your kind of lover We can work it out (work it out), let me show what I can do I can be your kind of lover I wanna be your kind of mother, let's talk about loving right Don't talk about doing wrong, put a little bit of sense into your mind We gotta talk it out man to man Make each other understand, right now a little happiness would be fine Just step right into my heart Come a little closer, don't tell me that it's over Make a brand new start, we can work it out just next to nothing Work it out, work it out just next to nothing With feeling, feeling, feeling, with feeling We can work it out, let me show what I can do, I can be your kind of lover We can work it out, let me show what I can do, I can be your kind of lover Hey, your kind of lover Your kind of lover, your kind of lover

They just don't care anymore what people think. Part of it is because they're not on top of the world anymore and don't have to worry as much -but part of it is the post-rehab fallout. After AJ publicly announced his drug and alcohol problems, they started acting like real human beings in public. It's a refreshing change from the standard fake popstar public image. It was the resident substance abusers (ahem! Nick and AJ) who were all over each other when BSB did the show in my city. I was like "Fuck! Get a room! Oh nevermind -just do it on the stage. I want to watch." "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"
