Does any one like the funk band "Mandrill" I was wondering is there some "Mandrill" fans out there. I jusr picked up their Greatist Hits cd today. I must say they have some serious "funk" going on. Hang Loose is "phat". House of Wood and Refuse to Smile are some good ballads too.  | |

They're Bed-Stuy Brooklyn homeboys. 
They are quite a few around here that dig the band. I'm one. Others will show themselves eventually.

I like them. I found about them through Don Byron's "Nu Blaxploitation" record which featured several very accurately performed, almost replicated, covers. | |

Mandrill is awesome ... I saw open for Parliament back in the day. Too bad Mandrill Land (their double album) is out-of-print. There is a 2 disc set avaiable. | |
