Over at neweditionfanclub.com there is a newsletter. Inside the newsletter there is a link to an interview with Johnny Gill. The interview is from a Philly radio station promoting a concert with Johnny, BBD, Guy and other artists. Near the middle Johnny begins to address the rumors. He must have wanted to get everything off his chest because he speaks for more than 5 minutes on it.

Johnny Gill has broken his silence concerning the rumors about his long standing friendship with Eddie Murphy. On Friday, November 11, 2005, in a phone interview with Patty Jackson of WDAS in Philadelphia, Johnny confirmed that he is "100% all man" and "there's nothing that another man can do for Johnny Gill."

According to him, the picture of Eddie and him walking has been altered. He actually was walking next to the woman in the picture.

I'm cool with a man having an androgynous look that uses certain elements of both their male and feminine side so they can be who they are as an individual.

I think there is such a thing as crossing the line when someone puts on an actual dress and tries to give the illusion of being an actual woman. I think it's fine for those that want to perform in the show but there are some drag queens that walk around the clubs for the entire night in full drag for the purpose of picking up bisexual men, "trade", who like women and the only men they will fool with are those in drag. I can't think of a group of men that I can't stand more than "trade". These men refuse to admit in their own mind, let alone to the rest of the world, that they are even bisexual. They think they are still straight because they are fooling with something that looks like a woman. They are also the biggest gay bashers out there. Many of them are contantly using words like "fag" very openly in gay clubs and those stupid queens still fool with this trash. Hell, everyone in the club should gang up and beat the shit out of them. I guarantee you, a white person would never make it out of an all black club using the "N" word openly. Many of them rob gay men, after they have sex with them of course. They will even tell their sexual partner during the actual sex act..."I'm straight". I've seen drag queens tell these men...."I only like straight men". I believe in living in the real world and calling a spade a spade. When these confused trade realize what they really are, all this bullshit will stop.

in 1983 Johnny was 16
Eddie was 22.

Now, i'm sorry, but what in the world what a 22 year old guy have in common with a 16 year old guy?

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Johnny Gill and I don't necessarily believe these wild rumors, but this seems so R. Kelly-ish flipped to me...

He could be straight, then again, he could be lying. I know many a man like him that will lie like hell when they get caught. They don't even have to get caught, they constantly lie (to themselves) about it. Hell, I know men that are receiving oral sex from other men and they actually believe in their mind that they are straight because they are receiving and not giving. Well, a person can't be gay all by themselves....it takes two to tango.

Maybe he's not engaged in these activities but just because he "says" he isn't doesn't mean he really isn't. He could be lying and statements like "I'm all man" are typical statements of trade men trying to prove that they are straight. A straight man doesn't have anything to prove and is too busy with his woman to be worried about being "offended" if someone thinks he's gay.

Men like those have made an amusement of gay people for years. It's only fair that the tables turn on them and payback is a mutha.
