umm....two of these folks dont even deserve to be mentioned within the same breath as the other two..

and because of that i will answer the question with my own option:

her dancing in WestSideStory blows away anything and everything these kats have done..

i wish "true dance" would be recognized in our culture once again... sigh

Yeah, some good dancing there no doubt.

I go for hammer though

That "too legit to quit" video still looks amazing. I got the "long" version with James Brown. I bet Jacko got in a right strop about that

Performance wise, Bobby Brown had so much energy and charisma. He even admitted he waa only an alright dancer, and he admitted he loved hammers dancing

If we are including ones not on the list, i go for paula abdul too, as i siad in the past, she is amazing. Look at "cold hearted". Thats is on par with most of the scenes in "west side story", and is very Bob Fosse.

Dont u remember that intro by b angie b?

Its from the remix of "(hammer hammer), they put me in the mix(er)"

Best intro ever

".....can u pump it, u gotta pump it, for the haaaaamer"

Hammer is so funny on that track.

"you lose" is one of his adlibs to other rappers out there on that song. Take that run dmc. "u lose".

dancing IMHO is more then just moving your head up and down and twirling and jerking your body....

dance is body in motion. sure, what mj and his followers (and sorry folks but i consider hammer a follower of mj.....along with usher, justin and half the other acts around) are dancing...but its street dance....i see many o folks in the clubs hitting as grand as many of these kats..

but what fosse and roberts choreographed and taught?...that was art. an artform that is sadly dying....thats one thing i give madonna mucho credit for..her dancers are performers just as much as she is...sometimes they even overshadower her own dancing.....but she is secure enough to allow that...i guess i just wish more people had an appreciation for that style of dance.

Duh! MJ of course. At least he's done different styles. I love watching his Fred Astaire impressions from the Jacksons TV Show in the 70s. He's phenomenal. There's one clip I have on vidoe that I can't find online ANYWHERE but it's the best damn thing I've ever seen him do.

Actually here it is, albeit very small quality. Dancing with the Nicholas Brothers: http://www.jetzis-mjvideo.../js8c.html

The other brothers and sisters come on a bit later. It's about halfway into the file to see it.

That new kid Chris Brown's doin some tricky shit, to be quite honest. I could picture bein 5 years old in my footy pajamas tryna recreate that shit. Moonwalk was pretty easy compared to some of that. I wonder what the shit is gonna look like in 20 years.

They're amazing, but having Michael between them both doing it with them was a sight to see! I've just ordered the Jacksons TV shows on DVD so I'll have it in great quality in a couple of week.

I know the Nicholas Brothers were in Janet's 'Alright' video. Harold is the one that died, isn't he?

yea, Harold died a few years ago, and boy did they love Janet, in at least two interviews they mentioned how nice she was.

Ain't nobody you mentioned could touch James Brown in his heyday. Dude was THE SHIT, period. His show and dancing was the ultimate experience. Go out a find some rare footage of JB and the Famous Flames and JB's from the early days and mid 70's and compare it to MJ, Hammer and Bobby Brown what a joke. His shows(dancing) went of for hours.

Hardest Working Man in Show Business...and he still kickin' it at 72.

I love JB, and he's got the most energy and longevity out of the lot, but I really don't think he's that versatile at all. Try getting him to do a proper Fred Astaire routine against MJ aged 17. Unfortunately we'll never really know.
