STORMS - Fleetwood Mac.

This has got to be Stevie Nicks' most beautiful song.

Every night that goes between
I feel a little less
As you slowly go away from me
This is only another test

Every night you do not come
Your softness fades away
Did I ever really care that much
Is there anything left to say

Every hour of fear I spend
My body tries to cry
Living through each empty night
A deadly call inside

I haven't felt this way I feel
Since many a year ago
But in those years and the lifetimes past
I did not deal with the road

And I did not deal with you I know
Though the love has always been
So I search to find an answer there
So I can truly win

Every hour of fear I spend
My body tries to cry
Living through each empty night
A deadly call inside

So I try to say
Goodbye my friend
I'd like to leave you with something warm
But never have I been a blue calm sea
I have always been a storm

We were frail
She said
"Every night he will break your heart"
I should have known from the first
I'd be the broken hearted
But I loved you from the start
Save us. . .
And not all the prayers in the world--
could save us

A friend just sent me some Stevie Nicks rare tracks that I've been playing non~stop. One is a version of Rhiannon that is sublime. I'll have to look through my cd's to see if I have Storms. I hadn't listened to them in so long I had forgotten how much I love them. Mistaken Love and Destiny are both amazing.

Yup. From her second solo record. Love it and that whole album. All of her 80's stuff is great cheesy as some of it is.

Stevie wears her boots...all...summer...long.

Yes I do. Very nice collection, although I was annoyed that only the live verion of "Edge of Seventeen" was included.

She needs to re-release her solo albums digitally remastered and with bonus tracks. That would be awesome! cool

I was a little miffed as well. I had/have that on a 45 single from the 80's. They should have included live and studio versions instead of just the live version. I'm glad they included Gold though.

"Storms" is a great song. One of my favorites from Stevie/Fleetwood Mac.

I'm hoping she gets in the studio soon!

Oh yes.... that is a great one. I love obsessive songs. I just have one word for Lindsay.... don't. p*ss. her. off. cool

I actually like the later live version better than the original studio version... just seems to have more power.
