James Brown and Crew, The Jackson Family or Prince and his Crew I am doing a project in my music business class.

diamondpearl is really on point here. Though, in my heart of hearts, I wouldn't take anyone over Prince and the Revolution or "Counter-Revolution." One cannot discount James/the JB's.

The world has kind of forgotten about Prince pre Musicology. It is sad! 
I was watching a show awhile back and they showed a bunch of kids Prince picture and asked, "Do you know who this is?" Most of them thought it was Michael Jackson. Nothing against Michael cus he is my favorite singer, but just saying, they should know who Prince is. People need to be schooled on P. Get to work!  | |

But James and his crew brought the funk during Jim Crow's last stand, the civil rights movement and the black pride movement. They saved entire cities from drowning in chaos and riots.
