It isn't electro funk per se, but Bowie's "Heroes" is WAY funky and electronic.

The first half is twisted and rocking and quite funky in places. Songs like "Beauty and the Beast", "Blackout" and "The Secret Life of Arabia" are hard-hitting funk-rock songs. And the 2nd half is just a slice of Bowie-Eno electronic gorgeousness.

Then again maybe I have no idea what "electro funk" is.

It's not early dance mixes and beats from the early 80's, it the Zapp & Roger sound to me.

Street Jams - Electro Funk I saw that at Same Goody 2day.

I have 2 Electrofunk albums.. "Clear" by Cybotron and "Jam On It" by Newcleus. They are ok, but I would reccommend just getting compilations instead..and Street Jams are well worth it

i got the Cybotron-album too, but i wouldn´t recommend it as electro-funk. as early techno 4 sure! like slave2thagroove wrote, i´d say it´s more like Pince's 1999, Zapp & Roger, or George Clinton.

Exactly, because other than compilations, most electro funk was available on 12 Inches only.
