Sigur Ros - I love Takk, any recommendations?

I just recently got a copy of Takk, and I absolutely love it. I have to admit to knowing basically nothing about Sigur Ros, but I see that there are several other albums out there. Could anyone recommend any of them in particular? (Hopefully I'm not the only Sigur Ros admirer on the org! eek )

Do not worry, you are NOT alone.

If you are enjoying Takk, I think you are safe to get any of their other releases. I prefer "()" to "Agaetis Byrjun" personally, but I think I may be in the minority on that sentiment.

Also, ig you can find the set below, I HIGHLY recommend it. I honestly haven't listened to the CD a lot, but it's good to have for the 3 videos on the DVD. They are just stunning...

i don't think you can go wrong with anything you find by sigur ros. there's a live disc that i don't have by them and i probably won't get because i'm not a HUGE fan of live recordings, but i'm sure even that is a very pleasant listen.

;-)Their albums "Agaetis Byrjun" and "()" are both fantastic...
and try to get hold of their video collection on DVD single- the videos add another element to the music.

"VON" is an early and impressive (although quite dark) work with quite a surreal otherwordly cover. It has been quite expensive in the past but seems to be more readily avaiable now. Several of their live recordings are fabulous but I especially love The Icelandic Opera House in July, 1999. (There are some from that venue on different dates but the July show is superb imho). A few weeks ago BananaCologne had a link to their new video. I'll seek it out and post it here. It is very amazing.

edit: OK, I ordered (), Von, and Agaetis Byrjun. Hmm, does anyone have this "Screaming Masterpiece: 1000 years of Icelandic Music" CD? Better yet, has anyone seen the film? Review, please! biggrin
