Group: "B5" bum-rushed in Minnesota by lil' girls

Today the Group B5 were per4ming for Radio Disney here in Minnesota (Brooklyn Center, a suburb of Minneapolis).

There were reports on the news that they went up there to hug them and grabbing their clothes off..they were ushered out of the city in 15 minutes. There were some injuries i guess too smile

It's Diddy's new boy group, which seems like a played-out concept (and how many times has Diddy tried to create something based on New Edition's formula) but it sounds like it is working. hmmm

A similar scene took place when they performed at a radio sponsored event here in DC in June. They had to stop their performance until the kids calmed down and stopped pushing because little ones, who shouldn't have been up that close to the stage anyway, were getting crushed. I try not to diss the little group because I remember when my older relatives used to talk trash about my fav group NE.

the thing that bugs me about this is the stupid fox station here in mpls said it was a fuckin riot, as opposed to what it really was...rolleyes

and yeah, they re-did "all i do is think of you". whoever it was who said the song's stupid, you might think that because you ain't heard the original version of that cut. the original's boss.

When dealing with young kids in a setting like that, there needs to be lots of security. Whoever organized this did a horrible job with security and needs to get fired.

exactly--in fact, on KMOJ (the only urban station here in mpls that ain't owned by clear channel) this morning they had a call-in about all this...a lady called and said exactly what you did, cam. her daughter was out there when this happened and she said there wasn't enough security there so things obviously got outta hand, therefore they had to call a shitload of cops out to brookdale to calm shit down. they had guns drawn n'chit, and this was a bunch of little teenybopper girls they were dealing with. how ridiculous is that???

disbelief

it's extremely ridiculous. no child needs to be in an environment like that one and the video proves that. even the older members of B5 looked shaken by all the chaos. terrible.

I said the song was stupid, and the original is the one I know. That and Breezy are the only songs I dislike on Moving Violation.

I saw that video of the scene. It looks like the Jason Donovan/Bros scenes in 1989. I remember those clearly lol I've seen worse. I've been shoved in the middle of worse.

it ain't owned by radio one (thank gawd), it's part of a local independent group of stations. they're part of AMPERS.

Then what you meant was "an Urban station that is not owned by corporates". Clear Channel is big, but there are many more corporations that own radio and more and more of them have dived into Urban. What you said was that it was the only Urban station not owned by CC. Can't forget about Cathy Hughes and her stations too!

Forgive my nerdiness, but being that I work so close to this mess I know.

But I have to say it...being that means they aren't making any money! hah!

Then again I support the indies too wink
