I'm not going to list the gals accomplishments...but ask yourself this...
Why is it that Madonna is expotentially bigger than Prince or MJ? And why is she STILL around if she is talentless as you say. Talentless people don't NORMALLY stick around for as long as she has. Christian Zombie Vampires

im sick of people saying shes lasted longer then michael or has stayed bigger then him over the years, because its not true. well maybe recently, actually not recently as american life bombed, but maybe in 2000 she was big and he wasnt. but you could say the same thing in 1995, that micahel was the only one who lasted out of the three because he was still big in 1995 and where was madonna? every artist has to fall off at one stage. madonnas was from 1992 - 1997 where michael was much bigger then her. and michaels now has his turn and madonan has made the comback which makes it seem like she was always on top for the whole 20 years, when she actually wasnt. people seem to have the notion that its still the year 2000 and madonnas still wildly popular. im actually a big madonna fan, but obviously an even bigger michael fan, and it just annoys me that he doesnt get his credit. oh and i couldnt wish for anythnig more then the both of them to have huge comebacks. i love madonna's music, always wants to make me get up and dance
M.J. is an entertainer, and no matter his issues about little boys/children, he still can complete the job of being an entertainer.. and Prince, is just that...a royal prince of music!!! I love him, and his musical talents. He not only entertains me, and makes me want to dance, but he makes me whole listening to the words of his songs...its like he knows me or something. I will forever love the purple P. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

BTW That is the first & last time i have ever posted that video. calldapplwondery83 is referring to the dance video I made of MJ which has at least 10-15 different moves. As far as him being the best dancer, I wouldn't say that he's not. The 30’s and the 40’s Hollywood might be the best dancing ever captured on film if you fail to include all the great Black dancers who couldn’t get in films, or if they did it was for only one dance segment, or maybe they were lucky enough to dance with the impeccable dancing Shirley Temple. Ever heard of Eleanor Powell. I like her better than Astaire, but most people wouldn't say that. and no one had the power and control of Bill Robinson, that dude was bad and didn't have his head down like Gregory Hines all the time, but Astaire usually gets top billing. The Nicholas Brothers of course are the best "flash" dancers. But in reality part of this is some elitist bullshit, you will never hear somebody say Jeffery Daniels, Poppin’ Taco, Poppin Pete are the best dancers either. If they even know who these people are. Taco and Pete are better than Michael. Ask those guys if MJ is any good. I suppose Astaire and G.Kelly took an interest in him because he sucked or Sammy Davis said this cause he sucked http://www.jetzi-mjvideo..../mt72.html I’m sure years from now when breakin’ has attained the level of ballet the “best dancer title” will be bestowed upon some “classically trained” hip-hop dancer, until then Michael Jackson and Jeffery Daniels from Shalamar are the best dancers in modern pop music bar none (not including backup dancers of course.) James Brown and Jackie Wilson back in the day. Ever wonder why Astaire gets more props than Bo Jingles??? You should question who determines what’s best? Sorry calldapplwondery83 you can’t see any of the videos I post, I hope you’ve seen Prince fall of the stage by now though. The sammy clip from arsenio seems to be down, but might pull up whenever, he basically says he was the Michael Jackson on the 50's. That's sammy davis folks....who can be seen in my video with MJ...sorry calldapplwondery83 [Edited 11/4/05 22:28pm]

Take A Bow spent 7 weeks at #1 on Billboard Hot 100, mainly because of airplay points racked at Pop and Adult Radios. In terms of sales, it just sold 500.000 copies in the US, accord. to Soundscan. While MJ's Scream peaked at #5 ( and a disappointing #19 on radio airplay ) but sold 718.000 units. Face it, Michael's always been bigger than Madonna in any stage of her career. He's had also greater longevity. He first hit #1 on January 1970 on both R&B and Pop charts with the 2.060.000 selling I Want You Back. In 2003, He was the 4th best selling album artist in the UK and his Number Ones CD shifted 6 million worldwide sales. This guy won more awards than anyone and cumulated over 450 million records sold during his entire career. He's been a comtemporary of Janis Joplin, Beatles, Sly Stone when he first hit the stage. He had a disco #1 smash before Disco went mainstream. His music was the soundtrack for B-boys in the Bronx. He single-handedly revived the music industry, set the bar for megastars like Madonna and Prince , launched the video era, broke racial barriers and radio apartheid. We Are The World is pop's preeminent world anthem. He's up there with Coca-Cola as the most famous brand on earth. And finally, in 2005, when he was accquited, TV all over the world, including Al Jazeera, stopped their programming to set a live broadcast coinciding with the announcement of the verdict.

was it only 24 hours ago that I saw this thread go up and thought to myself, "this forum is too smart to fall for this thread again." I guess I was wrong... Madonna is like the "abortion issue" of this forum. People just love to keep repeating the same things OVER and OVER again, regardless of which side they are on. Well, at least it ocasionally makes for some entertaining reading

All the above can be achieved by massive promotion.

Why is it that Madonna is expotentially bigger than Prince or MJ? And why is she STILL around if she is talentless as you say. Talentless people don't NORMALLY stick around for as long as she has. bull shit i'm afraid... If your good looking, determined, sexy, nice voice, and a massive attention seeker then the world is your oyster.

RipHer2Shreds said: That's fine, and I agree with you, but I don't think anyone here was knocking the abilities of non-trained dancers. How many contempary "break" dancers are given there proper due, even when you compare them to Michael, who they are superior to. My issue is that alot of these great dancers will always get overlooked to somebody like baryshnikov or anyother famous modern dancer you can think of. There is a pecking order, no doubt. Modern Black dance (hip-hop) is just as vital to me, that's all. I know no one stated the these dancers were not any good, but the artistic value of their form has not been duly recognized and to often given a sort of primitive billing. I'm just saying why couldn't a dancer who does similar moves to Michael be the best? Even with a Black dominant form like Tap, Kelly and Astaire always get mentioned first, not that I don't love them, but they are anointed above Black tappers. [Edited 11/5/05 9:36am]

But Prince being nominated for songwriter HOF proves talent.
