Funny this should be brought up. I found an old videotape of music videos last weekend that had "A Little Romance" on it. Another hot Babyface produced joint from that album. Their second album "The Saga Continues" had a few nice joints on it as well. Hakeem produced the majority of the album. Definitely an overlooked talent.

Are you guys serious?

They moved to Africa, became conscious, and now record music under the name "The Suns Of Light." Beautiful music, actually. Lots of spiritual upliftment and back-to-Mother-Earth/back-to-Mother-Africa vibes.

Whenever I think of them, I think of the song Crazy from their 1990 album. After a series of girl-like giggles at the beginning of the song one of the boys starts talking about how he's "a man....a real man." lol

they got older..i just wonder what they look like now...probably good looking.

I'd say they are about in their mid-20's now...just as long as they aren't in an alley getting high, or selling themselves for crack..they good... lol
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yeah its awful. I think its called "happy". The video is so dated too

anyway, yay the boys. "dial my heart" was a good video. But "little romance" had a cracking video. The graphics just scream late 80's kids stuff.

"crazy" has them spoofing then famous videos and artists like minni vanilli, jacko, janet and bobby brown. Funny video.

"the saga continues" is their best album by far. Some tough newjack, and really good production. U guys would be surprised.

They were in hammers "too legit to quit" video, sort of. I got the vhs collection which show them interviewed and their videos to their first album (i got the "crazy" video somewhere too). They seemed cool....

They also feature on eearht wind and fire's album "heritage". Obviously maurice thought they were the future. I wish they would of been too. What i read was that they deliberately wanted out of their motown contract? Hakeem also did some joints off p.o.v's album. Remember them?

from allmusic.com
They relocated to Gambia on the west coast of Africa after being inspired by Alex Haley's Roots. They had toured Africa before and received strong creative vibes while in the motherland. All four lived there initially, but only Hakim and Bilal make Gambia their home while keeping dual citizenship in the United States and Gambia. Along with Tajh, who still records with them, they record techno, world, and African music as Suns of Light. They have at least four albums on the market and cut new ones regularly. Fed up with the record business, Suns of Light sell their work via the MP3 website. The locals know of their previous career and refer to them as the "crazy boys." Their cutesy, bubblegum look is gone, and if you didn't know better, you'd think all four were native Gambians.

Khiry, the oldest, lives in Los Angeles and works in film and video production; Tajh lives in the Atlanta, GA, area, as do his parents, and he works in merchandising. Collectively, they invested in real estate and own Grand Oak Villas, a retirement community in Pensacola, FL. Hakim and Bilal operate two recording studios in Gambia, where they produce themselves and locals.

Here's their website:
