WOW!!! What a show!!! I saw The Brothers Johnson in concert last night and the show was INCREDIBLE!!! I'm still trying to recover from it all...lol...George and Louis are absolutely amazing!! They performed nearly every song from their first album ("I'll Be Good To You","Tomorrow","Land Of Ladies",etc),and they also kicked ass on "Strawberry Letter #23","Ain't We Funkin Now","Stomp" and a blistering medley of Sly Stone tunes. They even performed MJ's "Billie Jean" and other Old School classics like The Ohio Player's "Skin Tight" and Cameo's "Word Up".It was a funk lover's dream come true...lol...
Earlier in the day, they appeared on a local radio station and announced that they are planning a long-overdue "Live" album and a new studio album. Can't wait for those!! When these guys come to your town, you DON'T wanna miss them. After the show,I got to meet them and get their autographs. They are two of the nicest, most down-to-earth musicians I've ever met.I also bought a cool T-shirt with a 70s' photo of them on the front;)

Btw,here is the setlist from their show...
"Grooveless"---this is a NEW song "Ain't We Funkin Now" "I'll Be Good To You" "Thunder Thumbs & Lightnin' Licks" "Land Of Ladies"---for me,this was the highlight of the show.I've always loved this smooth, mesmerizing number and it works great in a live setting. "Q" "Tomorrow"---y'all remember in 1989 when this song appeared on Quincy Jones' 'Back On The Block' album with vocals by a young Tevin Campbell? Well,it actually started life as a Brothers Johnson instrumental that appeared on their 1976 debut album 'Look Out For #1'. "Old School Medley"---Sly and The Family Stone medley/"Skin Tight"/"Fire"/"Word Up"/"I Want You Back"/"ABC"/"Billie Jean"/"Strawberry Letter #23" "Get The Funk Out Ma Face" "Encore"---"9/11" (an instrumental tribute to the victims of September 11) "Stomp"
