Rolling Stones to play SUPER BOWL XL?

I hear that the Stones will be playing the 40th installment of the Super Bowl this comming February in Detroit. They are cool and all but I would prefer Prince and a Madonna homecomming. I guess all wishes don't come true. cry

Being that Detroit has such a rich musical heritage, who would u like to see play the SUPER BOWL halftime show?

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Yeah. I wanted Prince to perform first, then Madonna. That wouldve been outstanding!

prince and madonna would have to play separate super bowls, if they choose to play at all...since Tittygate, it's gonna be a while before we see some real interesting half time concerts....
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Let the Stones have it. If I could chose anything other than the Stones, I would say let Keith get up there and rock it himself. Keef Riffhard. nod Bad Muthafucka.

It's a jungle out there.

What i would give for that show.

Prince would rule the Superbowl.
I would love to see Madonna but the football crowd doesn't seem her audience plus i doubt they're ready to bring in any female pop stars after the whole Janet thing.

Sad but true. Nipplegate ruined it for Madonna. The Stones are a safe bet, just like Paul McCartney was this year. I like the Stones, so I'll watch.

I love the stones too and i'm sure that they'll do a remarkable job of the halftime show.

I went to a concert of the Contemporary Music Players recently where they do nutty things like breathe into clarinets without making a tone or...stroke the violin bow against a drum. Extremely avante-garde type stuff and difficult to figure out what's going on. Everyone was wearing suits.

In the middle of the show, the conductor spoke to the audience and said, "Well, this isn't like a Rolling Stones concert, where everyone enjoys what they hear." lol It was especially funny, because I had just recently been to a Rolling Stones concert. I didn't mention that to anyone though. shhh lol

Eminem hasn't been on point since The Eminem Show. Encore was easily one of the worst rap albums to ever be released by a major artist.

I agree, but the show would be off the hook.

I wouldn't mind seeing Gwen w/ No Doubt, but not solo. I can't stand to see her drag those poor Harajuku girls anywhere else. It's like their her little pets.

Madonna was gonna perform at the Super Bowl in 1999,but she changed her mind. One of the songs she had been rehearsing was "Ray of Light".

I think it would be great to have a Motown half-time show - perhaps with Stevie Wonder as the main act.
