i don't know which album you're talkin about, but the one i have, i may have spun once or twice, it seemed like he was trying a bit too hard. i read this too good to be true review about him and his previous work as an IDM artist plus the label he was on persuaded me to buy his album, but i've only played it twice, didn't really move me, maybe i should throw it on again. But come on now when you read an article on an artist and the reviewer says a combination of Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding and PRINCE!! That's a pretty large order to fill and IMO you're only setting up the artist for failure, unless his shit is that undeniable.

I have heard one jam of him that I really liked, but I still have to check out the album. Sounds promising though... RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Well isn't as good as they say off course! But his new album Multiply is the best thing I've heard that's new. Maybe you have his other album wich I haven't heard and i'm not planning to either...
But this new album is pretty good you should give it a listen especially When I Come Back Around. He kinda stole everything from james Brown etc. but damn it's so much better then Musicology let alone 50 cent or whohever is 'hot' right now!

I like his album a lot. When I Come Back Around is one of my favourites, but the the song Multiply is the best I think.
But isn't this his first solo album? The other albums were from Supercollider. JDinteractive started a topic about Jamie Lidell a couple of days ago too btw http://www.prince.org/msg/8/164453 (I hope this is the way to post the link?)
