Incredible, I dig the hell out of this CD. The song "Trust" reminds me of "Scandalous" quite a bit. All in all Meshell can just throw down...peace musze

I'm not feeling this album yet, but that could be partially because Cookie is competing for listening time with the new Bowie and the new DJ Shadow albums, both of which I'm loving at the moment. I also finally broke down and bought the Shuggie Otis album, and I'm loving that too.

I have to say that the liner notes for Cookie are great, though - I think one quiet day, I'll settle back and let myself get into this album a bit more. I LOVED "Bitter" to death...the new one obviously has a much different vibe, but I can see myself warming up to it before long...

It's lame of suomynona 2 compare 20 year old stuff with 2day. Prince said some things in songs that are rude but that is old news. The thing you are right about is the judgemental part. You shouldn't expect that from 'freeminded' Prince fans (are we?)
