vainandy said:[quote] It was sounding good till you mentioned the damn rap part. I guess it's OK as long as it's only a small rap part.
The rap is actually pretty cool...short and brief see the video here: http://www.wanadoo.co.uk/...z_feel.htm it's a strange little video, but I like it.

It's very retro-funky,sounding like it's from the early 80s.On their official site, one of the bandmembers describes it as "part "Billie Jean",part Rockwell" and that kinda sums it up.The lead singer's vocals sound like a sample from an old 70s hit,but I don't think it is.The song also includes a rap from De La Soul, which gives it a "modern" feel.I love the drums and the bass.I think you would dig this track. Yeah, it's got a drum and bass vibe going on. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Yeah, I really can't figure it out. And it's going to bug me all day now. But I know where the laughing is from. Do you remember those really awful, scary "wrinkled apple" looking faces that people would hang on thier walls? My friend's parents had two of them a long time ago. They looked like really old men and you would pull a string by their chin, and they would start laughing. That horrible cackle. Having nightmares now. Now I'm listening to "Don't Get Lost in Heaven" from the album and I swear at the very end it's a sample of Jill Jones' voice from "Violet Blue". But I'm probably wrong. There are already some female vocals on there, so it's probably the same woman. edit to say that this album is really growing on me now. I didn't like it at first actually. "Every Planet We Reach is Dead" reminds me of The Doors. [Edited 10/25/05 5:22am] "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

But just since this thread started, I have been listening to it more and now it's really growing on me. There are still a couple of songs though that I don't like.
