i agree with you that they are her three best albums, but you cant really say which is better as they are completely different sounding albums. with me when i listen to erotica and im in that mood i say whoa this is her best album, but its the same with the other two as well, im always changing my mind. right now im in a like a prayer mood. its easy to compare and say which ones better out ofthe first two albums cos overall they are pretty similar in terms of sound, but with like a prayer, erotica and ray of light, its a totally different feel, mood, and listening experience in each album.

but onto the original topic, they havent always kissed her ass, during american life days they defiently didnt. but all in all i think she deserves it, at least there gonna be playing one good artist on there station. i take this as a good sign and hoping mtv is starting to change

1) She's Madonna

2) Madonna is one of the acts that pushed MTV back in it's beginning to the stratosphere. Not saying she halped make or break MTV, but she and her music certainly helped. Not to mention the NUMEROUS specials and special moments she has given them that have become historic. They owe her.

3) WB is pushing this album...I am sure ca'ching has a lot to do with it.

Madonna made MTV what it is today. Simple as that. Remember when MJ released Invincible? MTV was also there to lend a hand to MJ. Granted, the album still bombed, but that was mainly MJ's and Sony's fault. Also, I was a bit disappointed with how MTV handled American Life. Both "Hollywood" and "Love Profusion" received seldom to none airplay. So far,though, MTV seems to be fully behind Madonna.

Well, Madonna had a lot more out put over Duran Duran. Hell, after Wild Boys in 1985/86...what else did they put out that helped MTV? Certainly by the time Notorious and Big Thing came about they were no longer in the spotlight.

Meanwhile Madonna has had numerous videos and events...hck her videos became events. Madonna has done more for MTV than just her videos.

Duran Duran was instrumental in the beginning...but Madonna has helped them throughout. Also Madonna is still at her game, whereas Duran Duran is considered more of a nostalgia band with an occasional hit these days...even though they have never "broke up" or "went away" and have had an album at least once avery 3-4 years or so.

um, skipping all the other stuff here, madonna's "accent", while very put on, has been with her since at least the erotica era. maybe even as far back as her interviews during blonde ambition but i'm not sure on that one. i just watched one of my madonna comp videotapes the other day and, low and behold, there is an interview from the girlie show tour and she is speaking with a british accent. that was 1993. check your facts, home slice.
