Anyone catch Christina & Herbie...

...on Jay Leno last night?

I was disappointed that they weren't given enough time to let Herbie Hancock and the band stretch out a bit.
They came off like a backing band for Christina Aguilera.
(whose vocal performance of A Song For You wasn't nearly as "under control" as the recorded version)

I saw it. Yeah, i was like stfu and let Herbie do his thing. it wasn't like she was actually singing words, she was just wailing and moaning. Though, it is nice to see someone like her doing something a bit different.

i was wondering if that was Herbies project or Chritina's. i was guessing Herbie since Jay greeted him first, but i think he should've done it, even if it wasn't Herbie's gig. lol

Well it really isn't although he's done a very good version.

It was written and originally recorded by...

...Leon Russell

Ya know, the Temptations have a great version of "A Song For You". I think Dennis Edwards nailed it. Check it out.
