I havent read the issue yet but with a music dignitary such as Wooten not being mentioned on the cover, you'd have to think that that was the reason why the editors omitted him from the issue. You're right that Vic is considered more jazz-fusion than anything else. I feel he should be included just for his live performance, because he can play the funk incredibly well. Still, on disc he hasn't really delved too much into funk, so I can understand them omitting him based on that.
