Worst Live Album What is your least favorite live album, possibly by an artist you admire?
I'd have to choose: Lou Reed--Live Take No Prisoners Great band, great songs, great crowd. The band launches into Sweet Jane and it sounds like it's going to be a great show. But instead, Lou chooses to exercise his powers of comedy and insult though the entire show, rarely taking a moment to sing an actual verse. It's worth hearing, just because it's not often an artist sabotages his own stuff like this. Check this song out at:

Mary J Blige´s Live On Tour album...some songs are not complete, the hypeman is annoying, her singing and call-and -response thing both suck, a total waste of money and a turning point of MJB fandom in my life...I used to buy every album up until that No More Drama shit.. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I thought most Live albums did that anyway 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

Tom said: Nice to have a big "Sold Out" stamp on your picture. This must be bad. The Song Remains the Same, anyone? One Night Alone isn't bad (some of it is great), but it's hardly what Prince should've released as his first live album. I think It Ain't Over is particularly disappointing. Musiq has no real business being there, and the George Clinton thing is weak. Apart from Joy In Repetition, it seems a bit uninspired. There must have been better stuff than that. Well, New Morning Paris 1987 or Paard van Troje /Small Club 1988 or Paradiso Amsterdam 1995 or Camden 1988 or ..or....or...whatever....something with less Musiq and George Clinton. My favourite band, Doves' "Live At Eden"...
It sounds really tinny and flat. It's just like somebody stood in front of the stage with a dictaphone.
