C'mon Feel the Illinoise!! Sufjan Stevens So while I've been waiting for Prince to find his lovesexiness again and waiting for Kate's album like a true devoted lovehound, I have discovered this guy Sufjan Stevens and think this album "C'mon Feel the Illinoise" is truly AMAZING!
I've been playing it nonstop, even putting Greg Dulli's Amber Headlights on the bench for a while. This dude plays over 20 some instruments on it, and is one unique muthascratcher (raising arizona reference, for ya). It's kind of like Stereolab meets Elliot Smith (whom i don't like) meets Nick Drake meets Bell and Sebastian where he is much more than the sum of any parts. Check it out! I love him ~ there were a couple great threads about a month ago that would be worth seeking out. I think Anxiety wrote that he is planning to create an album for every state.
