well, the thing is, the official word was "no ballads, no messages". there are obviously several message songs here. and while technically all "dance" music, much of it is produced and sung as if the songs were ballads. perhaps that's where the downbeat vibe i'm getting is coming from.

I don't think she'll miss a chance to push her enlightenment. i really believe she thinks its her job to enlighten people. it's been her message since Everybody.[Edited 11/2/05 13:53pm]

let's not get carried away now.

it's been her message for quite awhile now, but it didn't start out that way. it started out as nothing more than a mission to provoke and shock, and in the process evolved into a mission of enlightenment. and that's fine and great, but let's not re-write her history completely. Everybody is a cute little dance ditty, and it's not that deep, despite people reading into it a message of harmony.

HOW DID U GET THE LEAK?

If it sounds similar to Ray of Light, then thats not really bad considering Ray of Light is probably her best album

Push is the highlight of the album for me.
I think it has the most potential as a single in the US as opposed to Sorry.

I actually love Get Together though most weren't blown away by it.
Sorry, Future Lovers and Jump are the other highlights for me.

I have to give it several more listens.

Big thanks to MM for the link! You rock biggrin

Well, I like "Sorry" (don't love it, yet), but I don't think that it's a good choice for a US single.

It's a fun record. But my one problem with it is that it's a bit too "samey". Stuart, like any remixer, likes to use a lot of the same motifs (god forbid Jason Nevins had produced this record lol). "Get Together" sounds really old-school - great stuff. So far I'm listening to that the most.

FUTURE LOVERS and GET TOGETHER kick ass...

SORRY and PUSH are the two weakest IMO

FORBIDDEN LOVE, LET IT WILL BE, and JUMP are all highlights...

ISAAC, HOW HIGH, I LOVE NEW YORK and HUNG UP are all decent enough but not killer.

Anyone have LIKE IT OR NOT? Wanna orgnote please!

Thanks to my two friends who gave me this...you guys rock.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I have to admit I will NEVER listen to "Isaac" again. It's "Frozen" at 120bpm and with some weird Kabbalah wailing in the background. She even does the "MMMMMHHMMMMMHHHMMMMM" hook. What was she thinking!? Still, it's unintentional comic relief.
