Is Liz Phair's new CD really inspired by Stevie Wonder's SITKOL?

I read a review of Liz Phair's new CD (can't recall where),and the critic remarked that her latest CD is sorta like an "answer record" to Stevie's 1976 masterpiece 'Songs In The Key Of Life'.I haven't heard her CD,but now I am curious to hear it.What's the connection to SITKOL? Was it really inspired by the songs on SITKOL? Lyrically or musically...or both?

Anxiety

liz's new album is getting SAVAGED by the press. i think it would be a brilliant turn if there was some kind of 'meta' design to her latest album that could present itself in a really brilliant way and bite the critics in the ass.

of course, people are rarely that clever, so it's probably not the case.

anyway. i dunno. haven't heard it. haven't heard enough good things about it to bother. i think for me, she's always going to be the woman who did 'exile in guyville' and a couple of other good songs, and everything else is just kinda yucky gravy.

I think that was the original plan, but that she scrapped it in the process. Sounds nothing like SITKOL, and I can't hear any influences. Frankly, if this is her Stevie phase, I want her out of it now!
