Three discs of live goodness. It's fascinating to see Springsteen evolve from small clubs to large arenas. I also love his takes on songs he wrote for/with other people (Fire, Because the Night)... I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

Yeah, it was heavily overdubbed, but who cares. It's great. don't know that album frankly [Edited 10/16/05 20:11pm]

This was playing at a party I was at on Saturday night. Although I like Oingo Boingo and have seen them a few times, I had never heard this disc.
Elfman and Co. absolutely shred this set. Pure punk-thrash. My favorite live CD? No, but well worth a listen. a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

New wave Ziggy played keyboards... only on the instrumentals! and he looked damn sexy doing it, too. i think lisa coleman took some lessons from his keyboard playing stage presence, though of course the hair-blowing is 100% hers. I meant the song "Ziggy Stardust" with keyboard/synth arrangements sounds a bit silly to me... . [Edited 10/16/05 22:52pm]

He actually turns it into a soul song. Brilliant!

[Edited 10/16/05 22:52pm] i really liked the inclusion of the electric violin on 'stage', though i'm glad the inclusion of an electric violin began and ended with that tour...it could get really old, really fast. have you seen video footage from the stage tour? the violinist (whom i'm sure is someone painfully famous who i've ignorantly overlooked) looks like an escapee from ELO.

I'm really on a soul/funk trip at the moment, and I'd love to get all those live albums mentioned here but I guess they are rather hard to find nowadays. Especially on CD.

Though I prefer the oompa-loompa pants ( ) rather than the Live Aid's screaming-green suit with white sox and black patent-leather shoes!!! Just amazing...

when i was a kid, i used to listen every day to a taped version of the 'prince & the revolution live' home video that i made from plugging my boombox into the vcr. so that was an early favorite live album, even though it was a homemade bootleg and it only played through one speaker.
