Question: In America Billboard is the music chart, but what decides chart placings in the UK?

Just wondering what the Billboard equivilent is over there. Anybody?

Its a bbc program called top of the pops i beleive!!

The nice thing about uk all the hits database is online

Damn, thanks for the link. That's pretty cool. It's funny what hits number one there, often sinks like a stone here. The last two Oasis songs ("Lyla" and "The Importance Of Being Idle") are both number one there? Weird. I don't mean to say that the American charts are great, but it's funny to see the difference.
