T-Power is my favourite. Greatly recommended!

Drum ´n bass is the most interesting new genre the last twenty years or so, in my humble opinion. It´d be fun to see Prince have a crack at it.

I like Photek. But probably the best drum n'bass track I've heard was the Goldie/KRS-one collaboration 'Digital'. I'm sure that will not be popular with the purists but it's absolutely terrific.

Closest I've gotten is Doug Wimbish's Trippy Notes for Bass. Real nice stuff. I like Vernon Reid' MISTAKEN IDENTITY too. I want to check out DJ LOGIC. Someone recommended PROJECT LOGIC.

ooopps! my bad this is electronica isn'it?

Oh yeah that Tim Hagans and Eric Truffatz stuff is nice too

For some reason, I've always thought Drum'n Bass could have been the "natural"consequence of what Prince did in the past.
I once heard a Prince track on the radio (about 1997) with a Jungle groove.
The groove wasn't bad, but the vocals didn't fit at all.
No Drum'n Bass though!!!
Did his attempts with electronica stop there???

I never knew the title of that song.

I've been getting into that style quite a bit the past few years. I've been listening to some LTJ Bukem, Goldie, Roni Size, Jonny L, Aphrodite, Krust, A Guy Called Gerald...

Bahamadia has also done some cool things in that genre. Check out the song 'Pep Talk', from her album BB Queen.

Does any of you think Prince ever listen or even know about this kinda music???
After all this is usually indie, therefore have specialized channels of distribution: shouldn't he know more about this stuff???

I like some D&B... especially the jazzier stuff. But I listen to house more often.
Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position.
