What Do You Think Of Sinead O Connor Now?

She's been doing some t.v. appearances and she is doing some like Reggae style. Do you still like Sinead? Did you think her Redition Of NOTHING COMPARES 2 U was any Good? Do you think she went to far with the Ripping Up of THE POPE on SNL?

I love her now more than I did when she first hit. I still think her version of Nothing Compares 2 U is better than any other version. No, she didn't go too far by ripping up the Pope's picture.

I can say that I get through most days without thinking of her.

What a waste of talent. She was poised to be a major force in music but then the bottom kind of fell out. I don't think you can blame it solely on the pope incident. She stopped making great music. Over the last several years she seems to have partially gotten back to making great music but sadly not too many folks care anymore, especially in America.

It seems like when you are away too long people forget you. She said she took time off to raise her children.

I absolutely love her first two albums.

poor Sinead is a real bag of nuts. she seems to have had lots of personal issues and problems that detracted from her career. I think she could've gone much further if not for all her issues.

I saw in a local paper that she's touring and will be in my town. my initial reaction upon seeing the ad was "Cool! I'd love to go" but the thing is I don't know much about her current music and it's just not worth the money and effort to me to go see her.

but like I said, those first two albums are classic. great stuff.

i loved sinead when she was tackling big band music with "am i not your girl", and i would have a conniption fit if she did another album in that style.

that said, i'm not so sure i'm as enthusiastic about sinead tackling reggae. i know it's near to her heart, but i hope it's something she's getting out of her system, and that she moves on to other styles. i'd love to hear her tackle other genres. that said, who knows, maybe her reggae album will grow on me over time.

She has a beautiful voice. Her song "Jealous" is a great one. And she seems sincere when she sings like she ripped her heart out and decided to sing about it. I can't say anything about her political views.

nod One of the best on that album. She has great vocal range, and the combination of the emotion and high notes that come through certain passages in that song are truly saddening.
