I bought the N.E.R.D cd back when it first came out. The rock version they put out after the more digital sounding one which is what I thought I was buying today and it was the same bloody one I already have. Has anyone ever made a similar mistake? I feel like a jackass.

I've done that with promo vinyl before, but can't remember ever doing it with CD.

Yeah, many times I'm browsing at the record store and I'm not sure if I have already ordered that particular album or if I even have it in the case of older ones.
I buy most of my music online and I hate it when occasionally I enter a shop and see a CD I haven't received yet. That's what happened with the last McCartney. I had preordered the special edition a month before it's release date. And then the e-shop had problems and kept sending emails about how they regreted to inform there was another delay

Last week I couldn't help myself and bought another I had preordered.As soon as I got home I cancelled the order and got my money back
