Forgotten Jam: "Ray-Gun-Omics" by Project Future One of those jams that people seem to have forgotten over the years is "Ray-Gun-Omics" by Project Future. This 12 Inch was released in either late 1983 or early 1984. I would have to look through my stacks of records and pull it to tell you for sure but I do remember it coming out in my 11th grade school year which was 83-84. School years are how I remember some of the years to these songs. It was a futuristic funky jam with an electronic voice that mentioned some of issues of the day during the Ronald Reagan administration. In other words, "Ray-Gun-Omics" was Reaganomics. We could start a whole thread alone on songs that mentioned Ronald Reagan during his presidential years. Anyway, so many people seem to have forgotten this jam but I know some orgers have heard it or remember it. Andy is a four letter word.

speaking of songs about Reagan...Rick James has said that his song "Money Talks" (from the 'Throwin' Down' album) was really about Reaganomics and the lousy state of the economy under Reagan.

He sure did. That's one of my favorite Rick James jams. One of my favorite jams about Ronald Reagan was a 12 Inch that was released in either 1981 or 1982 (ninth grade year) Ronald: Nancy....at my age do you think we should be doing something like this? Nancy: Oh Ronnie, a lot of people our age do it. I hear even George Burns did. Ronald: But not while wearing roller skates. Nancy: Probably not. now, back to the topic
You would remember it if you heard it again. They haven't played on the radio since it was popular. Andy is a four letter word.
