Musically, that's about all I could talk about with your daughter! lol I don't have any kids, but one of the many reasons I'd love to have at least one is to share music - not only what I like but what (s)he'd like as well. Does she ever play anything that takes you back?

she likes New Edition yet doesn't like Bobby Brown which cracks me up. She likes TLC and a few others. She's more into my parents generation of music than mine. She is a HUGE Ike and Tina fan. One of our funnier times is her doing Tina Turner all dressed up dancin' around the apartment.

She is actually a huge Whitney Houston fan as well. I think she enjoys music over all but still is very connected to her own generation which is cool with me. I don't really bash the new artists unless it REALLY sucks.

It's cool that they listen to music, but nothing there grabs me...
I knew friends at school(many years ago!?!) to have horrible taste in bands etc. and then turn around at a certain age and discover some fantastic music-
I guess I was lucky as I remember my older sisters getting excited over this new singer and how he was dirty and said rude things and he even sung 'backwards' sometimes and they played the "DIRTY MIND" and "PURPLE RAIN" albums- that's how I got into Prince. We also had many house parties where I was surrounded by cool music- one of my first remembered songs was Blondies "Heart Of Glass".
Does your Daughter they ever listen to YOUR music? If so, does she like it?

My son (18 in 15 days eek) listens to pretty much the same stuff I listen to. He got me into Maroon 5, though. He doesn't like a lot of today's music because it's sampled to death.
